Glowing Text
Glow effects work well on anything with dark backgrounds. They can be applied to imitate radiant light or other effects. Again, this effect can be achieved in many ways.
Create a document with a black background. Put some text onto the document.
Duplicate this layer and go to LAYER>>RASTERIZE>>LAYER to make it editable. Move the rasterized layer under the original text layer. Select the rasterized layer and go to BLUR>>GAUSSIAN BLUR. Set Radius to 5 and press "Ok". Duplicate the blurred layer to make it stronger.
