If you ever needed a logo that depicted nature, then this is the tutorial for you.
First, open a new document and make a new layer. Like all logos, you should always use the pen tool. Change the foreground color to green and use the pen tool to make a leaf looking object.
Now, we're going to make a split in the leaf. Make a new layer and use the pen tool and set the foreground color to white. Draw a thin curved line that splits the leaf in half. I zoomed in so you can see what the split should look like.
Make a new layer and do the same thing, but horizontally and smaller(make sure this one matches the angle of your leaf). Make sure the color is white so it blends well with the background.
Select the small split and duplicate it 2 other times so you now have a total of three small splits. To duplicate, select your layer and goto Layer>Duplicate Layer. Move each layer so they are spread apart on the main leaf.
Now we're going to make a new layer and outline the left half of the leaf with the pen tool. Make sure the fill for the outline if white. See picture for guidance.
Double click the layer to get to its layer style. Apply a gradient overlay to it. Make sure the style is linear and that the angle matches the form of your leaf. I had it on angle 86.
Now click on the gradient bar to goto the gradient editor. Change the color in the red square(see picture) to match the color of your leaf. Change the color in the blue square to be a light green. Press okay and exit out of the layer style.
You now should have something like the picture. Do the last three steps for the right side of the leaf and you're done.
